Description
Photograph of a view of the main street in Angel's Camp, showing the Eldorado Hotel on the right, [s.d.]. At left is a wooden building with a covered porch held up by thin wooden posts. A sign hanging from the roof reads "Justice of the Peace". The two-story Eldorado hotel is across the unpaved street at right several cars are parked in front of it. This place retains many buildings reminiscent of the mining days. The Eldorado Hotel was a favorite overnight stop for Yosemite stages and was destroyed by fire on November 25, 1936 at which time it was called the Calaveras Hotel.
