Description
Handwritten note on reverse: 1930 Tele-film transmitter. Philo T. Farnsworth. First continuous film transmitter 2 megacycles amplifier - admittance neutralizer. Photo by County Photography Department, Santa Clara County for the Foothill Electronics Museum. Featured in Jane Morgan's book "Electronics in the West," on page 108 with the following caption: Farnsworth with the 1930 version of his camera tube, the "image dissector." Apparatus shown is for televising motion pictures from film, anticipating the major part movies would have in TV programs. Note: The image dissector is part of the Perham Collection of Early Electronics at HSJ.
