Description
Photograph of a monument unveiling at the Los Angeles Stockyards, 1940. Composite photo of cattle, aerial view of stockyards and administration buildings. The main photograph shows hundreds of finely-dressed people outside of the long administration building. A smaller photograph in the top right corner shows a man in a cowboy hat holding a lead rope attached to halters on two oxen. A small photograph in the top left corner shows presumably the same man in a cowboy hat sitting on an ox. The photograph below shows cattle in a pen. According to Mr. Glen Bohlander, a USC Digital Library patron, the man in a cowboy hat was his father, Mr. Arnold Bohlander, who worked for Producers Livestock Marketing Association. According to Mr. Bohlander, both photographs of his father were taken in Ontario, California.
