Description
Photograph of the Arch Rock in Pacific Grove, Monterey, ca.1900. Rounded rocks, discolored by the water lie in the foreground with foaming water crashing just behind them. The Arch Rock stands at center with its archway formed over a small channel of water which spills in from the ocean behind it. The rock appears to be pillow basalt with its soft, rounded-looking shapes.
