Description
Tian'an Men = the gate of heavenly peace, from which the largest square in the world takes its name. Tiananmen Square is a 100 acres expanse to this side of the gate. Beyond lies the Forbidden City. Next to the huge portrait of Mao the Chinese inscriptions say, on the left: Long live the People’s Republic of China, on the right: Long live the unity of the people of the world.
