Description
Copy Print: View of painting by Carl Rakeman of the Pony Express rider passing the construction crew installing the telegraph system. Mr. Rakeman complete several paintings depicting historic American roads, trails, and highways for the the Department of Agriculture, which at that time housed the Bureau of Public Roads (BPR) - predecessor of the present Federal Highway Administration.
