Description
On-the-scene footage of the first "Zoot Suit Day" at Hayward's Tennyson High School, organized by the recently-organized Chicano/Raza Club during a week of student-organized activities. Interviews by Tony Guerra of students and school principal as disc jockey plays in the background and students dance to music. Barrio Expressions was a community access television show documenting Chicanx and Latinx life in the East San Francisco Bay Area. It ran on Hayward cable television from 1976-1985. While the shows were filmed primarily in the Hayward area, they include stories from around the East Bay and San Jose. The show aired weekly, with 26 episodes per year. Producer Daldo.
