Mrs. Pike takes part in a program sponsored by the Valley Council of B'nai B'rith Women that teaches lessons in Democracy to children in the San Fernando Valley. Small hand-made dolls of famous Americans from different religions, ethnicities, and cultures are used in the lessons. Photograph caption dated February 21, 1963 reads, "Mrs. Pike, left, shows 'Democracy Dolls.' With her is Mrs. A.M. Kaplan of Burbank."
