Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated May 25, 1957 reads, "Proving to be great favorites with young visitors to Griffith Park Zoo are these four jackal puppies, born at zoo. Mother, Kili, and father, Manjaro, were donated to zoo by 20th Century-fox, who used them in motion picture 'The Snows of Kilimanjaro,' from which parents derived their names. They are side-striped jackals, and, like all jackals, are members of dog family."; See images #00116061 through #00116066 for all photos in this series.
