Description
Anna Elkington and her brother and sister attended Sacred Heart School. Gift of the Elkington and Setty Families. The two story wooden building is Sacred Heart School. Barely visible to the left is Sacred Heart Church. The school had two classrooms on the ground floor and two upstairs, and the large auditorium. The nuns taught two classes in each classroom - perhaps fifty children. Discipline was not a problem. The Happ family children attended Sacred Heart in the early 1900s, as well as the Elkington children. Information provided by Anna Elkington 2013.
