Description
View 1: Painting titled, "Augustina" by artist John Hubbard Rich shows a woman dressed in black, holding an open fan, hands resting on her lap. John Hubbard Rich (1876-1954) is best known for his portraits, still life, and floral paintings done in impressionist style. Rich founded the Los Angeles School for Painting and Illustrating and taught at the Otis Institute as well as the University of Southern California. He died in Los Angeles in 1954.
