Annotation translation: "The broad mouth of the Wuri River makes Duala a natural harbour which can handle a large fleet of merchant ships. In 1884 Dr Nachtigall hoisted the German flag on Joss Plateau. Duala is already one of the largest places in West Africa." "Vollbehr art-postcards, 'Cameroon'".
