Shown is a circa 1955 postcard of the Hotel El Rancho, located on 1075 West Capitol Avenue in West Sacramento. The hotel was built in 1932 by Thomas Hull, a millionaire, who operated it until the 1970s. The El Rancho was then purchased by Robert Stahl in 1978. Stahl invested roughly 10 million dollars in order to renovate and expand the hotel and resort.
