This photograph is contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco."
Text written under photo: "Memorial services at the grave of Senator D. Broderick." Photo shows a group gathered around the tomb of Senator David C. Broderick, who was shot in a duel with David S. Terry near Lake Merced in 1859. This could possibly have been the 50th anniversary of the event.
