It seems to run through the middle of a steep side of a rocky mountain, surrounded by tall leafless trees. Small bushes are seen in the left background on the higher windward side of the mountain. A small pond (river?) is visible on the left corner in the foreground surrounded by trees and rocks. Characters are seen in the extreme foreground which read: "It Is The Long Long Trail A Winding" and "No. 11. EB Gray. Photo."
