Description
Founded in 1891, The Union Rescue Mission at 226 South Main Street, Los Angeles, will again feed approximately 2,000 of the Skid Row needy with full-scale turkey dinners on Thanksgiving Day as it has done traditionally for many many years. Photo shows Jim, a chef, engaged in the roasting process with some of the turkeys to be served. The Union Rescue Mission is the largest Skid Row rehabilitation Gospel mission in the United States.
