Rajiv Dutta interviews Meg Whitman for a Drucker Centennial talk entitled, “How Businesses Balance Profit and Social Responsibility.” Whitman begins by mentioning her upcoming election for governor of California. She discusses how a manager must be proud of how he or she runs a company. She talks about her time as the CEO of eBay, and the early history of the company. Whitman also describes her decision to change major policies at eBay, and discusses how a board of directors can affect decision-making within a company. She ends the interview by answering audience members’ questions on leadership.
