Tao Fong Shan Christian Church, Hong Kong, April 2000. - The Center was founded in 1930 by the Tao Fong Shan Kristne Kirke, Hongkong, april 2000. - Centeret blev grundlagt i 1930 af den norske missionær Karl Ludvig Reichelt (1977-1952). Reichelt blev udsendt til Hunan provins i Kina,1904, hvor han i 1922 grundlagde et center, med fokus på kontekstuel kristen spiritualitet og interkulturel religionsdialog. Som følge af den kinesiske borgerkrig blev arbejdet i 1930 flyttet til Shatin, Hongkong, hvor den danske arkitekt, Johannes Prip-Møller (1889-1943) fik til opgave at designe bygningerne. På bjerget i Hong Kong blev det kristne center Tao Fong Shan (TFSCC) fra 1930-39 bygget i buddhistisk tempelstil. TFSCC er et pilgrimssted og et studie- og undervisningscenter, der tidligere har tilhørt Den Nordiske Kristne Buddhistmission (fra 2000 Areopagos). Gennem samarbejdspartnere er Areopagos stadig med til at tilrettelægge udveksling mellem Skandinavien, Kina og Hongkong, med religionsstudier og forskellige diakonale projekter

Tao Fong Shan Christian Church, Hong Kong, April 2000. - The Center was founded in 1930 by the Norwegian Missionary Karl Ludvig Reichelt (1877-1952). Reichelt was sent to Hunan Province in China,1904. In 1922, he established a center, focusing on contextual Christian spirituality and intercultural religious dialogue. In 1930, due to the chaos of the Chinese Civil War, Reichelt moved his work to Shatin, Hong Kong, and asked the Danish Architect, Johannes Prip-Møller (1889-1943) to design the buildings. From 1930-1939 Tao Fong Shan Christian Centre (TFSCC) was built in a Buddhist temple style. TFSCC is a pilgrimage site and a study center - previously belonging to the Christian Mission to Buddhists (from 2000 Areopagos). Through different partners, Areopagos is still involved in exchange projects between Scandinavia, China and Hong Kong, with religious studies and various diaconal projects.
