Description
Opening day at the Little Tokyo Branch Library located on the southwest corner of 2nd and Los Angeles, at 203 S. Los Angeles Street. This photo shows a large group of patrons and library officials, posed for the ribbon cutting ceremony. Among them, from left to right: Board of Library Commissioners President, Robert Chick (dark suit, white shirt, gray hair); 9th District Councilwoman, Jan Perry (tan pantsuit); Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa (dark suit, white shirt) holding huge scissors; and City Librarian, Fontayne Holmes (yellow suit).
