Description
Photograph of fourth of July celebrants crowded arouund City Hall in Alahambra, 1908. Horses, horse-drawn carriages and an automobile which is identified as the only car in the city at the time are visible in the foreground. The city hall is pictured at center, a one-story brick building that appears to be much like a fortification of some kind. The American flag flies from a tall flagpole just in front of it, backed by a congregation of school children dressed in uniforms. Other spectators flock around the flag, forming a circle.
