Description
Rotating gap spark transmitter for amateur radio, c. 1911. The innovative rotation of this spark gap, used by early experimenters to transmit wireless telegraph messages, creates a distinctive tone instead of the hiss of a fixed spark gap, making it easier to hear Morse code transmissions.
