Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the front entrance to the Mission Santa Barbara, taken by Edward Vischer, before 1875. The entranceway is comprised of a single archway flanked to either side by columns which ascend to the peaked roof, under which a rose window is situated. Two bell towers flank either side of this main building, extending to a portico at the left. Crosses are attached to the top of the main building's roof as well as its left bell tower. A dirt path lined by stones is visible in the foreground, mountains in the background.
