Photograph article dated September 22, 1961 partially reads, "The stroller carries the six-month-old son of Mrs. William Nuessle, 7936 White Oak Ave., as his mother solicits the signatures of area residents...It asks immediate installation of traffic signals at the intersection of White Oak avenue and Strathern street in Northridge. The petition was prompted by the death of a resident of the neighborhood, Martin Parker...a motorcycle patrol officer, was injured fatally Sept. 14 when his machine slammed into the side of a car turning left into his path."
