Photograph of Indian cliff dwellings -- Mummy Cliff House -- in Canyon de Chelly or Canyon del Muerto near two undercut arched openings in the cliff wall, ca.1895. A few scraggly trees grow in the foreground. Rocks are scattered across the ground behind the trees while the clay-like cliffs stand across the background. The cliff dwellings can be seen at the base of the cliffs at their center.
