Description
Exterior view of the French style Chateau Elysee, a film colony landmark, recently purchased by a non-profit group for operation as the Manor Hotel, an experiment in graceful living by older people. Originally built as a luxury hotel/apartment house in 1929 by Eleanor Ince, the widow of Thomas H. Ince, the successful pioneer silent film producer. The building is part of the Celebrity Centre International of the Church of Scientology. Architect: Arthur E. Harvey. Photo date: July 5, 1951.
