Description
This circa 1992 postcard provides a bit of gallows humor in advertising a room for rent to notorious serial killer Dorothea Puente. A longtime resident of Alkali Flat, Puente murdered anywhere between three and nine residents that she was supposed to be caring. It was learned that Puente had been stealing benefits that were intended for her victims. She was found guilty of murder 1992, receiving a life sentence without the possibility of parole.
