Photograph article dated August 19, 1963 partially reads, "Two nightmare tangles of cars at Hollywood Bowl and Chávez Ravine may be eliminated by a man watching a television set. That, somewhat oversimplified, is the hope of S. S. (Sam) Taylor, head of the Los Angeles City Traffic Department. Just returned from a trip to Europe, where the use of television as a traffic control tool started, Taylor says he thinks television can play a role in solving local traffic problems." Pictured is S. S. (Sam) Taylor.
