Description
"Brick making, Nyasaland". Exterior view showing fourteen men and boys making bricks from clay. There is a small hill behind them to the left of the image which has two concave sections dug out of it, two of the boys are standing in one of these pits. In front of these are tables for shaping the bricks and in the centre of the image there are three young boys balancing trays of wet bricks on their head. ❧ From a Photograph Album of the Blantyre Mission, Nyasaland [Malawi] and the Mihecani Mission, Portuguese East Africa [Mozambique].
