Description
2009-1317. Plates in photograph album: California views : [photograph album], page 57, page 57. View of 2 men standing in a tunnel cut into a giant tree, and a boy seated on the roots at left; sign attached to tree says "Dead Giant". Dead Giant located on first stage road into Yosemite, in Tuolumne Grove. Tunnel created about 1875.
