Description
The West Coast Computer Faire was an annual computer industry conference and exposition. The first faire was held in 1977 and was organized by Jim Warren and Bob Relling. At the time, it was the biggest computer show in the world, intended to popularize the personal computer in the homes. The Sixth West Coast Conference took place in San Francisco on April 3-4-5, 1981. This is the recording of the panel titled "The IEEE 696/S-100 Standard". The titles of the papers presented are: "Session: The IEEE 696/S-100 standard" by Sol Libes. "Status of standard approval" by Howard Fullmer. "S-100 Standard DMA Protocol" by Kels Elmquist. "What does IEEE-compatible really mean?" by Mark Garetz.
