Photograph of two horse-drawn fire engines from Station 12, Los Angeles, ca.1890. The two engines are moving very quickly across the image from left to right. Both vehicles are being pulled by a two-horse team and have several firefighters aboard. The second engine, seen at left, has a large brass tank on the back. In the background at center is a large, two-story building with a tall tower at right. This station was in service from1903-1949, and more pictures of it can be seen at the Old Plaza firehouse.
