Photograph caption dated May 9, 1950 reads, "V. G. Wiley points from giant horns on the roof of the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Co. at 434 South Grand Avenue, to Oak Mountain. This is the first lap of route over which television programs will travel from here to San Francisco."
