5 images. Man and wife arrested for "keeping untidy house", 14 September 1953. Dan Borunda Mrs. Bertha (Dan) Borunda (both in jail) neglected children: Stella Borunda -- 20 months old Joe Borunda -- 2 years Melton Idell -- 18 months. Caption slip reads: "Photographer: Wesselmann. Date: 1953-09-14. Reporter: Alone. Assignment: Children of man and wife arrested for 'keeping untidy house'. 1-2, L to R: Melton Idell, 18 months (not their kid, but he was there) Stella Borunda, 20 months Joe Borunda, 2 years (seems like it's too close on the hells [sic] of Stella, but that's the way he was booked). 3: Stelle, left, and Jose Borunda. All three at old part of county Hospital in Juv. Ward there they keep kids from 1 to 3. 5-6" Dan and Bertha Borunda in Lincoln Heights Jail.
