Image shows view of the Edward I. Martin residence, located on Paseo del Mar on lot 7, block 1511, tract 6886 in Malaga Cove. View of the balcony and stairway overlooking the central patio with tile wall fountain, stone pathway and arched entrance. Window with planter box and wrought-iron grill is visible at upper left. The gardens were designed by the Olmsted brothers. According to the building permit card #129, the large Spanish style two-story home with attached three-car garage was built by the Palos Verdes Home Association as Project House #7. It is featured in the Palos Verdes Bulletin of April 1928, which includes a detailed plan of the house. The home was later owned by James de Silva.
