Photograph caption dated September 14, 1955 reads, "North Hollywood Navy Mothers were recent hostesses to the Past Commanders' Council, when Mrs. Emma Jones, who founded the club in 1931, was honored. Naval Training Center Commander H. B. Kruetzfeldt holds portrait of Mrs. Jones, who could not attend. Looking on are Mmes. S. Arthur Johnson, club commander, and Florence Scheffel, council president."
