Photo caption printed in the Sacramento Bee on October 25, 1980 states: "California Conservation Corps members fight a losing battle to save Kevin Jones' asparagus ranch from the flooding on Upper Jones Tract. An irrigation canal apparently broke Friday and encroaching water forced them to abandon sandbagging to move rapidly to high ground."
