Photograph of the cliffs at Santa Monica's Palisades Park from Pacific Coast Highway, ca.1910. The bluffs run from the foreground at left to the distance at right and are steep and rocky. The base of the cliffs at center is overgrown with dense bushes, and the tops of the cliffs are lined with an assortment of trees. There is a wooden fence near the edge of the cliff at center. A line of utility poles and a railroad run parallel to the cliffs. Next to the railroad is the paved highway, and an early-model automobile is parked on the shoulder at right.
