Description
Photograph of a Navajo blanket weaver with loom, ca.1900. Sitting in the shade of the thatched dwelling, the blanket maker faces the loom placed such that light shines through it. A large rectangular opening can be seen to the right of the loom with large boards at the base of the opening. Several slanted poles can be seen throughout the dwelling used for support. A blanket, rope, pottery, baskets, and fleece lay on the ground around the weaver. In the background at left, large vines grow along the wall.
