Description
Maureen Reagan discusses her autobiography, “First Father, First Daughter.” She begins by explaining how she is the daughter of President Ronald Reagan and his first wife Jane Wyman. She talks about how she wasn’t allowed on her father’s campaign trail in the 1960s because she was too young. She describes her feminist beliefs, and how she shares a lot in common with other women in the White House. She talks about how she and her father bonded over politics. She ends the interview by discussing her mother Jane, stepmother Nancy, and how she ran for the California Senate. Interview was taped in 1988 and may have been broadcast in 1989.
