Description
The earliest California imprint devoted soley to wine making as distinct from vine growing. The author produced prized wines from the cabernet grape at his La Questa Vineyard in San Mateo County, south of San Francisco. His book is a detailed manual for California wine makers based largely on methods used in France, where, the author states, 'the finest wines of the world are produced.' Includes a bibliography of works consulted. - from Gabler, Wine Into Words, page 225.
