Photograph caption dated October 9, 1959 reads "Group of five technicians from West German Air Force pause for cigarette break in their intensive two to five-week training course at Lockheed where they are learning maintenance details of F-104 Starfighter. They are, from left, Heirrich Effenberger, Gerhard Zimansky, Guenter Hoinke, Justus Kollman and Kurt Kowallik. Men are among 43 instructors brought here from their Luftwaffe base in Bavaria, West Germany."
