Description
A letter from Yasuhiko Ohashi, the current resident of Seabrook Farm, New Jersey, to the Japanese Peruvian community. It overviews their lives and efforts in the past three and half years since the first group of Japanese Peruvians left Crystal City Internment Camp in 1946. It states their goals to support the former internees in returning to Peru and repatriating; obtaining permanent resident status to stay in United States; and eventually, gaining compensation. Collection of notes, articles, correspondence, photographs, and term papers collected by Yukio Mochizuki, a student at CSU Dominguez Hills, while researching Japanese American incarceration and Japanese Peruvian internment during World War II.
