Photograph caption dated November 15, 1947 reads, "Roses For Pat Burns - "Punky" Was Parents' Nickname for Him." Note: Patrick Burns, 7, was killed when struck by an automobile driven by Jack A. Risley, 26, in a crosswalk at Ninth and Valencia streets. Witnesses said the car threw the boy 159 feet. Risley was booked on suspicion of manslaughter.
