Aly Khan, known by his full title Prince Ali Solomone Aga Khan was the son of Aga Khan III, the head of the Ismaili Muslims. Aly was a wealthy international playboy who served as a Pakistani diplomat to the United Nations but is best known in California for being married to Rita Hayward from 1949-1953.
Rita Hayworth poses with Charles Torem (left), attorney for her estranged husband, Prince Aly Khan, and her own lawyer, Bartley Crum (right), before eleventh-hour negotiations for a possible marital patch-up began. Rita had kept them waiting about four hours. She was a bit nervous, countered photographer's request for pose other than her profile. Photograph dated July 10, 1951.
