Description
Video recording of a presentation by Warrington Parker for the Drucker Distinguished Speakers Series, titled “The Transformation of Rockwell: A Leadership Development Agenda.” Parker discusses changes at Rockwell International as it scaled down from 120,000 employees to 46,000, and sold its aerospace and defense businesses to concentrate on electronics and communication. According to Parker, leadership involves innovation, creating new business opportunities, and creating a culture of continuous learning. He goes on to discuss the four constituents whose judgement Rockwell values: customers, employees, shareowners, and the community. Parker also discusses different types of Rockwell leadership learning programs, an employee survey conducted every 18 months, and the core values of the company.
