Det. Sgt. George Carsten said that Reese Evans, 58, set fire to the couple's house because he has believed for the past two years that they were 'intentionally goofing up his TV set' with an electronics device they had 'hidden in their home.' Mr. and Mrs. Edwald J. Stolpe escaped injury in the pre-dawn fire. Evans, formerly an inmate at Camarillo State Hospital, was booked on suspicion of attempted murder and arson."
