Photograph caption dated April 7, 1962 reads, "Reseda Youth Band, with membership of more than 150 youngsters ranging from 8 to 20 years, will present a Pops Concert at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Encino Community Center, 4935 Balboa Blvd., to raise funds for new music and bus transportation for parade season, and uniforms. Band won second place to countywide competition last year in Hollywood Bowl Battle of the Bands, will compete again this year in event sponsored by the Los Angeles County Department of Recreation and Parks.
