"Holzbrücke über den Mbaka-Fluss in den Bergen. Von der Regierung gebaut." ("Wooden bridge across the Mbaka River in the mountains. Built on behalf of the government."). A wooden bridge with stone fortifications leading over a river with rocky banks. Three people are standing on the other side of the bridge watching a man down by the river who seems to smack cloth against a rock in the water. Thick brushwood edges the opposite river bank. Adolf Ferdinand Stolz (1871-1917) was a mission trader of the Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine in Ipanya from 1898 to 1902 and in Kyimbila from 1903 to 1914.
