Photograph of San Pedro Harbor from Terminal Island, ca.1896. The Knopf Hill Hospital is visible on the hill to the extreme left beyond which the copula of the Clarence Hotel can be seen in the background. Several tall-masted sh"ips are docked and a man in a hat and coat, pictured in the extreme right, is standing on the second-story porch of a partially visible building. Picture file card reads: "on hill left is Knob Hill hospital. Ground in front of Front Street to north end of P.E.S.S. Co. property was removed and P.E.R.R. laid their tracks in 1904".
