Grant is the mother of Jovan Grant, 3, who is alive after falling from the window of their seventh-story Frontier Hotel apartment, located at 111 W. 5th Street, while trying to pet their cat on the ledge. Jovan landed on the blacktop in the alleyway that runs beside their apartment, and suffered injuries to his face, right leg and chest, as well as other internal injuries.
